The Tindall Foundation’s Grassroots Giving Fund - 2016 Funding Round
As a Regional Funding Manager for The Tindall Foundation ACF has distributed grants under the 2016 Grassroots Giving fund totalling $318,373.00, to 41 organisations. The grants were spread across 5 regions including South, Central/East, West, North and a regional category for organisations that work right across Auckland.
We were pleased to receive a broad range of applications from many great organisations, all working hard to support the diverse needs of communities in Auckland. Applications received were in excess of $1.24 million which is an impression of the level of financial need required by community service agencies throughout Auckland to sustain their good work.
The Tindall Foundation Grassroots Giving Fund aims to support families and social services with a number of strategic goals. The 2016 funding round showed a rise in applicants under the Migrant & Refugee and Budgeting category which is a reflection of the growing need in these areas within Auckland. The category of Youth Development continues to bring in the largest number of applicants in this fund.
Thank you to all those involved in the process and we wish all the 2016 recipients all the best in supporting the Tindall Foundation vision of a stronger New Zealand.
Applications for 2017 will open on the 1st of April.
